Jon-Nicklas Lundberg is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sweden. His practice revolves around sculpture, experimentally branching out into other media such as sound, interactiveness and mechatronics, where he explores their potential for interweaving. He is interested in the abject, the bodily, posthumanity, violence, empathy, and participatory transformative processes where definitions have to be re-evaluated. Jon Nicklas Lundberg has exhibited and performed his art nationally and internationally. Jon-Nicklas Lundberg has studied art and music-related subjects at Konstfack and Lund University.
He has participated in international residencies and art projects, including Trans-Media-Akademie Hellerau e.V. (Dresden, Germany), Crawford College of Art & Design (Cork, Ireland) and Elektronmusikstudion “EMS” (Stockholm, Sweden). Parallel to this, he has received long-term residency support from the city of Lund for his exploratory artistic project “Sound Sculpture lab”. Recently he was involved in the lecture and workshop series “1, 2, 3, Playtime”, organised by Inter Arts Center (Malmö) and Region SkÃ¥ne, a project where a selected group of artists explores the interaction between art, games and technology.
