Audio-Visual Performance
Neurotic Network Training (2023) is a loose play on the occurrence of artificial neural networks, where I in this case is training my own “neurotic” brain with input trying to create something new. It is a play with all the potential stress that we are under now should we be trying to compete or stay in the loop with the computers while the ai-revolution is happening.
In this performance I take input of various forms and processes and output them through a system of mechanical and software devices I have built.
I explore a suite of things including but not limited to performative elements related to my body and appearance, entangling me with my devices both literary and conceptually, and using parts of other artists’ work as input, as well as using my own body as input.
The work is always in flux; the sound, images and ideas that constitute the work evolve over time, they are exchanged and replaced over time.
